The house
Concerning
the collection.
Purveyors of fine art, in the great tradition of oil, canvas, and insanity.
Gogh Store deals in oil paintings of the Western tradition, reproduced to order on archival stock and dispatched from the press nearest you.
The holdings originate in Gogh Wash, a work of restoration in which members of the public are invited to remove a century of grime from a masterpiece and sit with what is underneath. Those works, and others acquired since, are presented here.
Everything is printed to order. Nothing is warehoused, nothing is mass produced, and nothing is explained. What follows is explained anyway.
How long will my order take?
Everything is made to order. Gelato, who print for us, quote an average of four to six days for economy delivery within the United States and three to four days for express. Those figures include us receiving the order, printing it, and getting it to your door. They are averages, not promises.
Where is it printed?
At whichever of our printer's facilities is nearest you. They operate in thirty-two countries, so a print bound for Missouri is not flown in from Europe. It is made down the road.
What exactly am I buying?
Fine-art prints, framed prints, canvas, and packs of ten greeting cards with envelopes. Each is produced when you order it. We hold no stock.
Is the goghstore.com mark printed on the artwork?
No. The mark on the previews is a watermark and exists only on this website. What arrives is the painting, uninterrupted.
Do you ship outside the United States?
Yes. Our printer produces locally in thirty-two countries, so international orders are generally made near the destination rather than shipped across borders.
Something arrived damaged.
Write to us at [email protected] with a photograph and we will have it reprinted. Because every piece is made to order we hold nothing in reserve to exchange, but a damaged or incorrect item is ours to put right.
Can I return something I simply dislike?
Each work is printed for you specifically, so we cannot return it to stock that does not exist. If you are undecided, the cards are the gentler way in.
What is Gogh Wash?
A game in which you are handed a filthy masterpiece and asked to clean it. Most of the works in this collection were recovered that way. It is free, and it is on the App Store.
Who is behind this?
One person, with a great deal of oil paint and no supervision.
Anything else: [email protected].
